We’re excited to announce that our Galvanised range has grown!
From our Caldecott Boulder Planters, where design inspiration was taken from rock formations, to the Medbourne Obelisk that stands as a stunning feature in any garden, there’s something for all outdoor spaces.
As well as being robust enough to withstand the elements, the range creates an eye-catching display, befitting both a traditional or contemporary outdoor space.
British made and handcrafted by our expert team
As with all our products, the Galvanised range is handcrafted and made to order by the talented Arthur Francis team in our rural workshop. Once made, the pieces go through the galvanising process.
The hot dip galvanising process means each product is durable enough to withstand the test of time (and weather).
The metal is hot dipped into molten zinc at a temperature of around 450 degrees, which creates a metallurgically bonded coating that gives the steel its corrosion-resistant properties.
When the process is finished, the metal is then cooled with water. What’s left is a beautiful, crystallised pattern which is often referred to as a ‘spangle’.
A surge in popularity
It’s that spangle which has become so recognisable and much-loved.
