About This Project

We design and produce Corten metal garden sculptures and fabricated metal features to provide a contemporary focal point to any outdoor space. Weathered steel can be used in a multitude of ways, to create a rusted metal sculpture or rusty steel garden product.

Bespoke Corten Sculpture

We can design sculpture to suit any location, or we can develop your ideas into finished works. Pieces are conceptualised by our in-house designers and our experienced craftsmen fabricate and finish the projects in our workshops. You will be able to see your design or idea drafted up in detailed CAD drawings before we start.

Pieces are crafted to a high specification using a variety of techniques, both traditional and modern, and including the latest plasma-cutting technologies. We can also combine the metal work with traditional carpentry using oak.

Check out our portfolio page for more examples of previous work, including a number of corten sculptures and signage.

Or visit our web shop to explore our range of pieces for the garden including corten planter, corten chiminea, water trough, corten vegtable planter and a handful of weathered or stainless steel garden sculptures.

Why Corten?

Also known as ‘Weathering steel’ or Cor-Ten steel, and often referred to as ‘Corten’ or simply called ‘rusty steel’. Cor-Ten is a brand name for steel alloys which were developed to be weather-proof even without paint.

Corten or weathering steel, organically evolves to its environment, producing a vibrant orange patina, which not only protects the steel but creates a stunning finish.

Rather than rusting completely, the surface does rust over but in a consistent way that prevents further corrosion.Finishing steel with paint requires ongoing maintenance to prevent the material from decay. Weathered steel offers an appealing and stable rusted finish, this lends itself to outdoor sculpture and has been embraced for many well known commercial sculptures such as the Angel of the North by Antony Gormley.

All of our pieces can be delivered in an un-weathered, partly weathered or fully weathered state.
